welcome to the fashion lily

Hi all - and welcome to my updated and freshly named blog, The Fashion Lily.  When I began blogging I didn't really put much thought into the name and just sort of picked something.  Needless to say I have been trying to come up with a new name for quite some time and just recently I decided on The Fashion Lily.  

The name really has a double meaning for me, I wanted to find something that made sense but was also a symbol of something that I am passionate about.  It is no surprise then to many of you that I chose to use a character from my favorite book series as inspiration.  I have always loved the name Lily and her character represents inspiration, passion and above all other things love.  My blog is filled with love and the things that inspire me in my life and that I am passionate about and fashion is definitely one of those things.

I also really like to think of fashion in terms of flowers, it can be beautiful, it can be colorful, it can be unique, it can be wild and it comes and goes with the seasons.  Most of all I think we are at our most fashionable when we are at our most confident and happiest, in other words when we are in full bloom.
