Happy New Year and happy new blog posts to go with it, as with most people I have thought of all the things I want to do in the new year and starting to blog again is definitely one of them, so here goes.  I was fortunate enough to be back in LA to ring in the new year with my friends and while I was extremely grateful to be going low key with a house party in Venice, I found it challenging to dress down yet still feel special for New Year's Eve.  I've been playing with bright red lipstick lately and it seemed like a perfect opportunity to spice up my makeup without feeling overly done.  I used Sephora Nano Lip Liner in Real Red and Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in The Red to get the look.  Here are a few shots from the night, I especially loved the feel of the fireplace to make it look like winter in SoCal!
